​Riverscapes for Kids is a subsidiary of Riverscapes Freshwater Ecology Ltd, a New Zealand science consultancy company.

The primary purpose of Riverscapes for Kids is to work with children to raise awareness of the really special animals which live in our streams, rivers, lakes and wetlands - many of which are still relatively unheard of, and are also unfortunately declining fast.

To save these animals we need to first learn about them!  Riverscapes for kids uses printed and digital media, as well as hands-on participation to help kiwi kids to not only become aware of our freshwater ecosystems and the issues which they face, but to also feel empowered to get involved in finding solutions.
